Your payment method is managed through Stripe, Section's payment processor. This article covers how to update your card on file.

How to update your card
Log in at app.sectionai.com
- click your profile icon
- select Manage Billing. You'll be taken to the Stripe billing portal.
- From there, update your card details directly.
What kinds of cards Section accepts
Section accepts credit and debit cards through Stripe, including major networks (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover). Section doesn't currently accept invoice payments or payment plans for individual memberships.
If your card is declined
If your renewal or payment charge is declined, you'll receive an email from Stripe with the decline reason. Common reasons include:
- Expired card
- Insufficient funds
- Bank flagging the charge as suspicious
Update your payment method in Manage Billing, then the renewal will retry automatically. If you need further assistance, email help@sectionai.com.
