Every workshop comes with an activity packet you work through during the session and a reflection survey you submit at the end. This article covers what they are, how to get them, and how to use them.
What you get with every workshop
Each workshop includes two things:
- An activity packet — the workshop slides plus hands-on exercises. You work through it with the instructor and on your own.
- A reflection survey — a short Typeform you submit at the end. Submitting it is what earns you the badge.
How to access your materials
The instructor shares the activity packet in the Zoom chat at the start of the workshop. You'll see two formats:
- A Google Slides link — open it in your browser, then click File → Make a copy to keep your own editable version
- A PowerPoint download — a .pptx file you can save and edit locally
Both have the same content. Pick whichever fits how you work. If your company network blocks Google Suite, email Section Support and we'll send the PowerPoint directly.
Using your activity packet
The activity packet is built for active use, not passive reading. Work through it live during the workshop where your instructor prompts you, and continue on your own after the session. The packet doubles as your project — submitting your reflection at the end is what counts as turning it in.
You don't share your activity packet with anyone. It's your working space.
Submitting your reflection
The reflection survey is the only thing that earns you the workshop badge. Your instructor shares the Typeform link in the Zoom chat at the end of the workshop, or shows a QR code on screen. Open it on your phone or computer and submit it.
The badge process starts as soon as Section receives your submission. See Workshops → Badges & Certificates for the full timeline.
Confidentiality
What you write in your activity packet and reflection stays inside Section. Only Section employees can access submissions, and only for credentialing. If your project touches confidential work at your company, submit a summary or use a hypothetical instead. Your submissions are never published, shared with other members, or used in marketing without your explicit consent.
If you'd like your project featured as an example for future students, the reflection survey includes a consent question. Selecting "Yes" gives Section permission to feature your work (anonymized if you prefer), and you can withdraw consent anytime by emailing Section Support.
