Apply for a scholarship

Section offers complimentary and discounted, one-year memberships. This article covers eligibility, how to apply, and when awards are issued.

Who scholarships are for

Section's scholarship program prioritizes people of color, women, veterans, LGBTQ+ individuals, and anyone without the means to secure a membership. The program is run by the Section team and awarded at the team's discretion.

What's included

A scholarship membership gives you a full year of Premium access, including:

• Basic AI Proficiency Accelerator + Superpowers (advanced skills)
• Use case library and unlimited AI use cases
• Unlimited access to live workshops and on-demand courses
• AI certificate programs (AI Proficiency and AI Expert)
• Monthly AI office hours

Your access matches a paid Premium membership for the duration of the scholarship.

How to apply

Submit the scholarship application form at sectionai.com/scholarships. The application asks about your background, your AI goals, and why you're applying and takes about 10 minutes to complete.

Application & award deadlines

Applications close on the 25th of each month, and scholarships are awarded at the beginning of the following month. If you apply on the 26th, your application is reviewed in the next cycle.

You'll receive an email when your application has been reviewed, whether or not you were awarded. If you are awarded a scholarship, you will and award confirmation email with detailed instructions on accessing your account.

The end of the scholarship period

Scholarship access lasts one year. At the end of the term, your access to Premium features ends. You can apply for a renewal, upgrade to a paid Premium membership, or downgrade to Basic to keep using Section Coach with limited features.
