This article walks you through registration, attending, and accessing the recording.
Events & webinars
Most Section events run on regular Zoom for 1–2 hours. A smaller number are tentpole webinars, which are longer-format events with multiple instructors that run for 3–6 hours and use Zoom's webinar mode.
The customer-facing difference matters once you're in the session:
- In a regular Zoom event, you can see other attendees and use audio and video.
- In a Zoom webinar, you won't see other attendees on your screen and can't use video or audio. You can still ask questions through the Q&A panel and react with emoji.
Both formats are free and public. Both are recorded.
How to register
How you register depends on whether you have a Section account:
- Members and enterprise employees — log in at app.sectionai.com and go to the Events tab. Find the upcoming event, click into it, and click Register.
- Non-members (public) — go to sectionai.com/events, click Learn More on the event you want, and complete the RSVP form. No Section account required.
Either way, you'll receive a confirmation email with the Zoom link within a few minutes.
What you'll receive after registering
Once you've registered, you'll receive a confirmation email from Section, a Zoom calendar invite (.ics) you can add to Google, Outlook, or Apple Calendar. If you have a Section account, the event will live in the Events tab.
No prep work is required for most events.
Joining your event on the day
There are three places to find your Zoom link on event day:
- Zoom calendar invite — the .ics file you got at registration has the Zoom link.
- Section confirmation email — your original registration confirmation also includes the link.
You can join from a laptop, desktop or mobile device. Laptops and desktops are recommended for the best Q&A and chat experience.
Note: The Zoom registration link comes directly from Zoom, not Section. Please check your inbox, spam, or junk folder for the link. If you register for the event within less than an hour from the start time, you may not receive the link in time, and you can contact Section Support for assistance.
Recordings and where to find them
Every Section event is recorded and shared with everyone who registered. Where you find the recording depends on your account type:
- Members and enterprise employees — log in at app.sectionai.com → Events tab → click Live → scroll to Past Events.
- Non-members — recordings are emailed to the address you registered with, and posted publicly at sectionai.com/events.
Most event recordings post within a few hours. Webinars can take up to a week to be shared and posted.
If you didn't receive your meeting link
If you registered for an event and don't see the meeting link, go through these checks in order:
- Check your spam and junk folders for the confirmation email from Section.
- Confirm you registered with the email you're checking — try searching your inbox, spam and junk folders for the event name.
- Try a different browser or device if the link isn't loading.
- Still no link? Email Section Support at help@sectionai.com with the event name and the email you registered with.
